Selvedge & Sage is an independent collection of free quilting calculators. It is designed to help you see what the numbers mean before buying fabric or making the first cut.
Each tool has a deliberately defined scope. Backing compares two regular-panel arrangements. Binding counts straight-grain strips. Borders work from the centre out. Quilt fabric uses three square-based block layouts. Diagonal backing follows cut-and-slide geometry with an explicit seam correction.

Clear about accuracy
There are automated mathematical tests and published method references. That is not a professional sewing endorsement. An experienced-quilter review of practical instructions and sample results is still pending. Measure your actual fabric and quilt, follow your pattern, and confirm any longarm requirements before cutting.
